Together, Rogen – with his lifestyle brand Houseplant – and Droplet have knocked up a diffuser, with a scent the actor developed in Grasse.

Canadian actor Seth Rogen is a guy with his fingers in a lot of pies. Along with acting in and co-writing films like Superbad and shows like The Studio, he’s also the owner of one of Hollywood’s best chuckles, as well as luxury cannabis company Houseplant. Along with stocking cannabis and roach clips, Houseplant also sells kaleidoscopic pottery – ashtrays, vases, mugs and more – made by the man himself. More recently he has turned his attention to scent: last year he partnered with British fragrance house Droplet, founded by siblings Sam and Lucie Beecham, on an incense. Now they’re back for another collab, which launches today: a sculptural reed diffuser with a fragrance developed by Rogen in Grasse, France, the home of perfume.

“Seth is a perfectionist and involved in every detail,” the Beechams tell Broadsheet. “He spent real time with perfumers in Grasse, France. Bottling that in a reed diffuser brings its own challenges: the fragrance has to stay balanced through weeks of slow release, rather than shine for just one moment.”

The scent blends pink pepper with peony, santal and pine, bringing a comforting woodland smell indoors. “I wanted something that I’d actually use in my own home, warm, inviting, and a little unexpected,” Rogen said in a statement.

Like all Droplet’s diffusers, this blue-green hand-blown crystal glass vessel is shaped like a sculptural droplet of water. Rather than the cluster of reeds that’s traditionally used in a diffuser, it has one single reed, for a sharper, more contemporary appearance; the scent lasts up to 90 days. “It brings both brands together: Droplet’s signature form with Houseplant’s warmth, personality and unexpected edge,” the Beechams say.

“Neither of us wanted to make products that just get used and put away,” the Beechams say. “Both brands believe scent and everyday objects shouldn't be an afterthought; they should be intentional, something that actually shapes how a space feels. Houseplant does that with smoking accessories, we do it with fragrance innovation, but the instinct is the same.”

The Droplet x Houseplant diffuser is now available.
