Som Saa, Smoking Goat and Kin & Deum will take over the Shoreditch restaurant’s blackboard. You don’t need a reservation – and all proceeds go towards a non-profit combating child hunger.

Despite its efficient new reservations system, Singburi – which recently rebooted and relocated to Shoreditch from Leytonstone – remains one of London’s trickiest places to get a table. But on September 19, its terrace is going walk-ins only for one night, hosting a collaborative feast with three of London’s other Thai-dining stars: Som Saa, Smoking Goat and Kin & Deum. It’s in aid of Magic Breakfast, a non-profit that aims to alleviate child hunger by serving breakfast to 300,000 children across England and Scotland every day.

For Pochana 185 (pochana translates roughly as “nourishment”, “sustenance” or “feast”), the four restaurants will take over Singburi’s trademark blackboard with dishes reflecting the scope of Thailand’s regional cuisines. Think the spice-laced Thai barbeque of Smoking Goat sitting alongside Kin & Deum’s Bangkok-style dishes, Singburi’s southern Thai plates and the fiery classics of Som Saa, which has been closed since May due to a kitchen fire.

Singburi will also be on drinks duties, pouring a limited selection of its cocktails alongside wine and beer.

Pochana 185 runs from 6pm on September 19 at Singburi in Shoreditch. Walk-ins only.
