UPDATE: Lost has announced today, October 22 that its new site will be at the former London College of Fashion. “An entire block on Oxford Street to reimagine the heart of London, we want to build this with you. Sign up to our mailing list, we will send news there first.” The site, on 20 John Prince's Street / 33 Cavendish Square closed to students in June 2023. In late 2025, Westminster City Council granted planning permission to renovate the mid-century modernist building and turn it into a shopping centre and offices.
Lost has always felt fragile – and that’s makes it so appealing. When it first started in 2025, whispers began to spread about a club night in a shuttered cinema, where punters had to call a number to find out how to get in and lock away their phones at the door. As it became more popular, queues snaked around the block – and inside, guests explored the sprawling venue which, on any given night, could host surprise DJs, surreal film screenings, art exhibitions or tarot readings. Rumours of celebrity sightings began to spread; publications like Vogue ran street style pieces documenting the looks.
Lost happened in the Odeon in Covent Garden, for which the “artist-led collective” that runs Lost (founded by Secret Cinema founder Fabien Riggall) secured a temporary lease. It was meant to end in late 2025 – but in mid-January, the organisers announced that it would return. Then, on May 6 in a now-deleted Instagram post, Lost announced that it had been working to another extension, which hadn’t materialised. Lost would close at the end of May.
Thankfully, it looks as if Lost has found a new space. Last night, organisers posted: “Lost returns. We have uncovered a city within a city. A 24-hour district in the heart of London. We want to build it with you.”
In typical Lost form, details are sparse – and speculation among fans about what this “city within a city” might be will no doubt be rife. All that we know so far is that there’ll be no phones, no line-up, and that its first night will be in November.
